In Greene County magistrate court Sierra Kimberly Szaflarski of Jefferson was sentenced April 3 to 30 days in jail after she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on informal probation to the Greene county sheriff for six months. She was fined $1095 with a $15.75 surcharge. She must pay $60 court costs. A companion case in district court in which Szaflarski was charged with possession of marijuana was dismissed. A judgment was entered for $100 court costs. (Magistrate Jessica Morton)
Judgments were entered April 4 in two different cases against Christian Michael O’Brien of Jefferson, both on charges of theft- fifth degree. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge and $60 court costs in each case. He must pay $19.99 restitution to HyVee in one case, and $107 restitution to Oly’s Corner in the other case.
